The main pipe

The biggest artery leaves the heart. It is the aorta, as thick as a thumb. Press the heart and hold!

Hold longer, so the heart has time to squeeze.

The heart pushed the blood and the aorta swelled like a balloon. Let go!

The aorta squeezed back by itself and pushed the blood on, while the heart rests.

Branches run from the aorta to the head, arms, belly and legs. Then they split into thinner and thinner vessels.
