Blind spot

Experiment! Close your left eye, look at the cross with your right and bring the phone closer. When the dot disappears, tap the card!

It's gone! The light from the dot fell on the blind spot.

Here the nerve leaves the eye, and there are no seeing cells in this spot. The brain fills in the hole, so you don't notice it.
