Journeys: Brain. Stop 2

Teams

The brain has parts that work as teams, each with its own job. Take each job to the part that does it.

The back of the brain is in charge of sight. It makes a picture out of what the eyes see.

The side of the brain, by your temple, is in charge of hearing. It understands sounds, music and words.

The top of the brain is in charge of touch. It feels where you were touched, and whether it's warm or cold.

The front of the brain is in charge of ideas. Here the brain thinks, decides and plans what to do next.

The cerebellum is in charge of balance. It helps you not fall over and move nimbly.

The brainstem works like an autopilot. It runs your breathing and your heart by itself, even while you sleep.

Here's something interesting. The left half of the brain controls your right hand, and the right half controls your left!
